SSD STW Director: Jibil Simbah
Elder Simbah is a vibrant pastor from Malaysia. Among his dreams is that every member understands the mission of the church and has a healthy relationship with God so that they understand that they have a mission to fulfill even in the local church. Elder Simbah is also passionate about educating members in “Promise,” which is regular and systematic giving.
Another aspect worth noticing is that Elder Simbah has started using the Generosity Index as an SSD measurement tool. He also informed us that the Dynamic Steward Magazine and the Offertory Devotional Videos are also widely used in the SSD. Another important aspect of the SSD Stewardship Ministry is that the division has decided to participate in the financial support of their Union Stewardship directors, encouraging Unions to do the same with their fields.
This division comprises ___12__ countries: (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam). It has a huge population (681,892,000 people as of June 2023) with a comparatively modest Adventist presence (population/Adventists ration: 404 as of June 2023). Preaching the three angelic messages to ancient cultures like the ones found in their countries is a challenge.
