Stewardship 'God First' Sabbath (World Stewardship Emphasis Day) is the first Sabbath in December of every year. It is a time when Adventist stewardship leaders around the world lead out in the morning worship service and conduct afternoon seminars; an opportunity to encourage members to put God first in all aspects of their lives.

The week prior is recognized as Stewardship Emphasis Week and an opportunity for us to pause and realign our lives with that of God, putting Him first. This booklet, Stewardship Revival Week—God First, written by Aniel Barbe, assistant director of Stewardship Ministries of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, will help facilitate the worship program of the local church in the first week of December 2019. The program must climax with a “Promise” celebration where members will commit to putting God first in seven areas of their life (by using the Commitment Cards), including returning their faithful tithe and giving regularly a percentage-based offering toward the mission of the church.
