How can church leaders educate congregations under their care to sustain giving, even in times of crisis?
This 15-minute video, presented by Aniel Barbe, Hiskia Missah, and Marcos Bomfim from the General Conference Stewardship Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, promotes Promise (Regular & Systematic Giving), and may be used during stewardship or administrative meetings. It is meant to lead stewardship educators to think about how to prepare their congregations for future crises, which, according to Jesus, will only grow in intensity and frequency.
You will discover, for example, why the concepts of 'Promise,' of the Storehouse, and the Combined Offering Plan are, in a special sense, ways to respect the circumstances of those who have been financially affected by crises. When taught and practiced, those concepts are also a way to provide an uninterrupted flow of resources for the mission of the church.
