NakHyung Kim, M.Min. succeeds Pastor Kwon JohngHaeng

NakHyung Kim, M.Min., graduated in 1986 from the Sahmyook University of Korea with a bachelor’s degree in Theology. He then completed his Master of Ministry degree (1998) at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS), Philippines.

His service in the Seventh-day Adventist Church began in Southeast Korean Conference, Korea (1986-2004), where he served in various positions, including local church pastor, Adventist academy chaplain, youth director of SEKC, and director of Sabbath School and Personal Ministries in SEKC. He then served for five years as Youth director of the Korean Union Conference (2005-2009).

At the General Conference Session in 2010, Kim was called the be Youth Ministries director and the coordinator of the 1000 Missionary Movement, Golden Angels, and the Public Campus Ministry for the Northern Asia-Pacific Division. Since then, until April 2021, he has been serving continually to train, nurture, and equip many young people in his mission territory. He was then reelected as director of Stewardship Ministry for the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) for this quinquennium (2021 to 2025) during the NSD Mid-year Meeting.

Pastor N. H. Kim and his wife, NanHee Park, have two young adult children: Tony and Jean.
