SDTs IN THE SERGIPE MISSION

According to Wallace Oliveira, Sergipe Mission Stewardship Director, each district of the Sergipe Mission has a Stewardship District Team (SDT), composed of lay members and the district pastor. Each month, the SDT visits a church of the district, presenting seminars in PowerPoint which are prepared by the Mission’s Stewardship department.

“This year, they are working on the topic ‘Family Finance - The Values of Eden,’ says Oliveira, "in which families are encouraged to manage their finances through a family budget.” He says that the program is held throughout the day, beginning in the morning with the Sabbath School lesson, and ending in the afternoon, following the model of a VIJOBES Program*, where the church is encouraged to remain fasting or eat a fruit-based meal throughout the day. A question/answer period is opened during the last part of the meeting, where the brethren can clarify their doubts about Stewardship.
