Stewardship Lay Training & Visitation program for 6 villages in Uttar Pradesh ( UGS)

June 7-11, 2018, a lay Stewardship promotion program was conducted in the Shahjahanpur area for the following villages: Chena, Chinaur, Delolpur, Badhshah Nagar, Nigohi, and Panhapur. We have about 150 church members in these villages who have joined us from other non-Adventist Christian denominations. We have purchased five plots of land for the churches as well, but in the last 17 years no church has been built for these Adventists people. Along with Pr Suresh Kumar, Pr Davender Lall, Pr Umesh Bharti, and Pr Rakesh Kumar, Barkat Masih, the NIU associate Stewardship director, visited these villages and held lay stewardship meeting in all these villages in the hot weather of June 2018. The members were very much encouraged, and they all pledged to love and support the truth they have received wholeheartedly.

After the visitation of these villages, a one-day pastoral workers training program was also conducted for the local volunteers working in Shahjahanpur UP area, and nine of them attended the meeting. They were taught how to conduct the Sabbath School program, how to hold the divine service, how to do visitation and hold a Bible study program for those who are in the church, and how to search for the lost souls who are still in darkness.

Kindly pray for our church members in these villages, that they will grow in faithfulness. Please pray for their shepherds and for a prayer hall for each village, because although a plot of land on which to construct a facility for each village is there, they are still praying for a house of prayer where they can invite their friends for prayer and fellowship.
